Short-Term Trips
Join a short-term trip to personally invest in the people and programs Wooddale supports.

• Hunger Initiative Trip: Unfortunately due to some conditions outside our control, the May 2010 trip has been canceled. Instead the Hunger Initiative will be joining with the August Serve Africa Trip (see below).  
• Serve Africa: Aug. 22 - Sept. 3 2010. Experience and support the programs of CRI in Dondo, Mozambique.
• LOVE IN[DEED] Family Impact: July 2010. A family opportunity to engage with hunger and homelessness locally.

Local Hunger
Hunger is not just a problem in Mozambique. It is also here in the Twin Cities. Here are ways you can respond to hunger locally:

• LOVE IN[DEED]: Just show up and serve on a Saturday with Wooddale Church’s community outreach program and respond to local hunger and poverty issues. 8:30 a.m.-Noon on Feb. 20, April 24, June 19, August 21, October 23, and December 4, 2010
• PROP: Support the local food shelf in Eden Prairie.
• Community Emergency Service: Help CES provide emergency food and services for people in poverty in Minneapolis.
• Emergency Food Shelf Network: Work with the food bank that provides food for local food shelves.
• Second Harvest Heartland: Help pack and deliver boxes of food for low-income seniors and vulnerable children in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
• 363 Days: People think of feedng the homeless on Thanksgiving and Christmas. 363 is for the other 363 days a year that they need food. Help make sandwiches for the homeless in the Twin Cities.
